A major winter storm may impact Connecticut this weekend. Here’s the latest forecast on potential snow impacts and timing for the state.
Southern Connecticut is expected to experience 8 to 14 inches of snow this weekend. Ciemnecki would not rule out the possibility of this amount of snow causing power outages, but he said that he doesn't believe that they would occur. "Drip your faucets so your pipes don't freeze," the meteorologist said.
The forecast said Connecticut on Saturday will experience temperatures in the high teens. However, the rest of the week as well, Jan. 26 through Jan. 30, is expected to see sub-freezing temperatures, with overnight low temperatures in the teens and single digits.
