A second U.S. military plane was reportedly shot down in combat against Iran Friday after an F-15E fighter jet crashed inside Iran, according to multiple reports.
An F-15 fighter jet and an A-10 attack plane were lost to hostile fire. Two search-and-rescue helicopters also were hit, injuring the crews, before safely returning to their base, officials said.
The second plane crashed nearly the same time that Iran shot down an Air Force F-15E fighter jet, where one member of the two-person plane remains missing.
