A cyclosporiasis outbreak has now affected more than 1,700 people and counting. More than two dozen states are investigating cases of the foodborne parasitic infection. While it’s not fatal, symptoms can include “frequent and sometimes explosive bowel movements,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
