Hatching is egg-hausting work! A few months ago a very kind person brought us a common snapping turtle from Georgia that had been hit by a car. Unfortunately injuries were quite severe and mom passed shortly after arrival. During examination we learned that she was full of eggs. We can only imagine that she was on her way to lay and got hit by a car in the process. Although we couldn't save momma, we at least could save her eggs.
