NASA’s Perseverance rover landing on Mars — one of the most dramatic moments in space exploration. On February 18, Perseverance survived the famous “seven minutes of terror”, screaming through the Martian atmosphere before touching down safely inside Jezero Crater. This looks like a Mars helicopter on the surface of Mars. NASA’s Ingenuity helicopter was sent along with the Perseverance rover to test powered flight on Mars. It became the first aircraft to fly on another planet. The helicopter helps by scouting the terrain, taking aerial images, and supporting rover exploration. Mars has a very thin atmosphere, so flying there is extremely difficult. This achievement proved that aerial exploration on Mars is possible and opened new doors for future missions.
