The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on John St SE on Saturday, May 13, 2023. We were told that the shooting happened at approximately 5:00PM. When APD officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim who had been shot at least once in the groin area. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. At 7:58 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were notified of shot spotter activity and dispatched to investigate a shooting at 611 San Mateo Blvd SE, near Zuni Rd SE and San Mateo Blvd SE. The incident happened in a laundromat. When officers arrived, they found one person, who sustained at least one gunshot wound. The individual was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital by Albuquerque Fire Rescue. When the person arrived at UNMH, they were listed in critical condit
