✍️A deaf poem about living with hearing loss, my mother's womb inside me, as measeal. I'm deaf and Some days, my world talks through water; my hearing aid turns on as I hear people's voices bending around the edges. I live between sounds, in the hush where meaning hides. People think I'm slow or lost, but I'm working harder than anyone sees, stitching half-words into whole moments. There's a strange peace in letting the world go quiet, as I chase the whistle sounds with life is like a flute. it
