❗️This is important❗️ After flowering it’s good to leave the green stem on your Amaryllis until it begins to yellow. Cut the flower off, but keep the green stalk and leaves while they’re still firm and green. 🌱 Why you should leave the stem • the green stem is photosynthesizing • energy it makes is stored back in the bulb • this helps the bulb re-bloom next season • removing it too early can weaken the bulb So: • pinch or cut off the spent flower to stop seed formation • leave the stem standing
